Auto-Inflammation and Autoimmunity

Inflammation is the vascular tissues' complex biological response to injury or damaging stimuli, such as bacteria, damaged cells, or irritants. McDermott created the term auto-inflammation in the late 1990s to characterise persistent and seemingly unprovoked fever and inflammation that lacked the normal markers of traditional auto-immune disorders. Autoimmune diseases (AI) are defined by immune system dysfunction leading to loss of immunological tolerance against self-tissues, the existence of autoreactive T and B cells, and a multifactorial pathogenesis, in which genetics and environmental factors work together to cause disease onset. There are around 80 such illnesses that affect human people that are susceptible. Autoimmune disease symptoms might range from severe to moderate in some persons. "Autoimmune illness comes in various degrees." "A person's symptoms are likely related to a number of factors, including heredity, environment, and personal health." Researchers aren't sure what causes autoimmune disease, but some ideas point to the body being attacked by an overactive immune system following an infection or damage.
