This session examines the interaction between infectious agents and the host immune system. It includes innate and adaptive responses to bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections, host–pathogen interactions, immune evasion, persistent infection, sepsis, hyperinflammation, and immunity in vulnerable or immunocompromised populations.
Abstracts may also address post-infectious inflammation, autoimmune complications, vaccine responses, immune-based therapies, biomarkers, and disease prevention. The session welcomes immunologists, infectious disease specialists, microbiologists, clinicians, epidemiologists, vaccine researchers, laboratory scientists, and healthcare professionals working across infection and immunity.
